All Saints Church, Weston Green, where the Ripieno Choir gives most of its concerts

All Saints Weston

Chestnut Avenue, Esher, KT10 8JL

The Ripieno Choir gives most of its concerts in the church of All Saints Weston.

The church has a semi-rural setting, next to Marney’s Pond on the edge of a common. The simplicity of its white interior, its superb acoustic, and its intimate atmosphere enhance and support the choral sound. The church hall was refurbished in 2000, and boasts excellent modern facilities for the provision of refreshments.

There is ample on-street parking in the quiet residential neighbourhood near the church, and both church and hall are accessible to wheelchairs.

‘The plan form of All Saints is one of the oldest in the world; really basilican in type. On entering, there is nothing to interrupt our way to the Altar – we are carried in spirit irresistibly along by the rhythm of the arcades on each side of us. I sought to make it a happy place in which to worship, seeking to allow all its various parts to seem to fall inevitably and without effort into position’. Edward Maufe, All Saints Weston (1939)
